I don't speak for everyone here but I sometimes prefer smaller to  medium-sized communities.
As for getting new users, this site will become associated with "incel" overtime, and will replace /r/incels as the default incel community. That's what I think will happen, anyway.

The way the reddit admins handled the situation really pissed me off, and I don't usually get angry at things. There are a lot of cruel people out there wanting to remove venting spaces just because they hurt a few women's feelings. I even saw a thread on IT where someone suggested trying to take down the MGTOW sub next.
